APPARATUS FOR FEEDING ARTICLE TO BE TRANSFERRED IN THERMAL TRANSFER TYPE PRINTER

PURPOSE:To enable the security of printing quality and the accurate feed of an article to be transferred by a compensating the shift of printing, by pinching an article to be transferred by a capstan and a pinch roll. CONSTITUTION:A capstan 2 is positioned in the same plane direction as a platen 8 and a pinch roll 3 is positioned at the transfer surface side of an article 6 to be transferred while said article 6 to be transferred 6 is pressed to the capstan 2 by an operation lever 4 to enhance the close adhesiveness thereof with the capstan 2 so as to be held under a highly frictional state. Surface processing is applied to the pinch roll 3 to secure printing quality. Feed accuracy is achieved by making the capstan highly frictional, making the pinch roll 3 freely rotatable and uniformizing the pinching pressure of said roll 3 to enable the accurate feed of the article to be transferred.
