PURPOSE:To enhance the durability of a centrifugal clutch, by providing support shaft between the engaged portions of centrifugal weights and friction shoes and the portions of the shoes pivotally coupled to an input rotary member, and by providing the friction shoes between the input rotary member and the peripheral portion of the clutch. CONSTITUTION:Support shafts 9a, 9b are provided between the engaged portions of centrifugal weights 7a, 7b and friction shoes 8a, 8b and the portions of the shoes pivotally coupled to an input rotary member 2. The friction shoes 8a, 8b are provided between the input rotary member 2 and the peripheral portion of a centrifugal clutch 1 so that the engaged portions of an output rotary member 3 and the friction shoes are located at the peripheral portion of the centrifugal clutch. Since the output rotary member 3 is located at the outermost portion of the clutch 1, the coupling forces of the friction shoes 8a, 8b are efficiently converted into torque transmission forces. For that reason, the spring forces of clutch mechanisms 4a, 4b and detent mechanisms 23a, 23b can be reduced to enhance the durability of the clutch 1. |
