PURPOSE:To aim at reducing the cost of installation and as well at enhancing the efficiency of heat utilization, by providing a vacuum drain cooler for cooling steam drain from a general steam consumption installation so that condensate from a steam turbine is flushed in the cooler. CONSTITUTION:Exhaust from a steam turbine 11 is condensed in a vacuum condenser 13, and is fed into a hot-well tank 16 though a condensate transfer pipe 14. Low pressure steam drain discharged from a general steam consumption installation 12 enters a vacuum drain cooler 17 in which the steam is cooled by condensate that is flushed from a flushing pipe 22, and is fed into the hot well tank 16 through a drain water transfer pipe 23. With this arrangement the heat of exhaust from the general steam consumption installation 12 may be effectively recovered without being wasted. |
