These control circuits are intended for a DC motor with separate or compounded energising, provided with an independent exciter winding dimensioned so as to allow, when it is subjected to the nominal supply voltage of the motor, a current intensity which is less by at least an order of magnitude than the nominal current intensity of the motor. They include a chopper 5 arranged in series with the armature winding 2 of the motor and in parallel with the independent exciter winding 4 of the motor. <IMAGE>
