<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate a position shift between a primary conductor and a Faraday rotator and the influence of a current flowing to another conductor present near the primary conductor by arranging plural Faraday rotators at equal intervals on a closed curve which cross-links with a primary current. CONSTITUTION:The faraday rotators 91, 92-9n are arranged at equal intervals L along the closed curve C which cross-links with the current I flowing through the primary conductor 1. Light from a light source 5 is transmitted through an optical fiber 4 to travel in the order of a deflector 8, Faraday rotator 91, single-mode optical fiber 121, Faraday rotator 92, single-mode optical fiber 122- Faraday rotator 9n, and analyzer 10. The angle of rotation of a plane of polarization by each Faraday rotator is converted by the analyzer 10 into light intensity, which is outputted after being converted into electric energy by a photodetecting device 7.</p> |
