PURPOSE:To shorten operating time by recessing a brush having an inner dia. equal to the outer dia. of a base cylinder, provided with a grinding tool setting part and a jig mounting part, in one of the ends of said base cylinder, by fitting a brush basis there, and by coupling a suction hose to the other end. CONSTITUTION:A grinding tool 4 is set in a grinding tool setting part provided at the inner wall of a base cylinder 3, and fastened by a screw 5 through a work hole 11, and then a jig mounting part 6 is mounted on the machine tool. A brush basis 1 with a brush 2 recessed is fitted at said base cylinder 3 in its grinding tool side, and the other end is coupled with a suction hose 8. When the tip of grinding tool is put in contact with a commutator 9 to be ground, the whole foremost part of the brush 2 shall be in close contact with the commutator surfaces 9 with such care that the tip of the grindin tool 4 does not protrude from the brush surfaces. Then the commutator 9 is rotated to perform grinding, wherein the splash produced is not scattered to the outside but exhausted through the hollow part and the abovementioned suction hose 8. |
