PURPOSE:To improve time lapse stability and dispersibility and to obtain an image superior in sharpness by dispersing a polymer obtained by the suspension, soln., or block polymn. in the presence of a hydrophobic photographic additive, into a hydrophilic colloidal binder. CONSTITUTION:A soln. contg. a polymer obtained by the suspension, soln., or block polymn. in the presence of a hydrophobic photographic additive, and this additive is mixed with a hydrophilic colloidal binder. In the dispersion thus obtained, it is considered that the particles of said polymer, such as vinyl polymer, are in such a state as being impregnated with said hydrophobic photographic additive. As a result, the time lapse stability of the dispersion is enhanced, the selection range of kinds of said hydrophobic additive usable for impregnating said polymers can be widened, a large amt. of said additive can be added, further mechanical strength of a gelatin film is enhanced, and a sharp image can be obtained. |
