PURPOSE:To provide the titled composition giving a molded article having high strength and elastic modulus, and excellent surface state, by compounding a reinforcing material composed of glass fiber and surface-treated milled mineral fiber to a polyamide resin. CONSTITUTION:(A) 20-80(wt)% polyamide resin is compounded with (B) 80- 20% inorganic fibers composed of (i) 85-15%, preferably 30-70% glass fiber and (C) 15-85%, preferably 70-30% milled mineral fiber having an aspect ratio of 5-100, preferably 10-60 and surface-treated with a coupling agent. The polyamide resin is nylon 6, nylon 66, etc. The glass fiber is the one containing 10- 20% CaO, 50-70% SiO2 and 2-15% Al2O3, having an average fiber length of 1-10mm., a diameter of 5-20mu, and an aspect ratio of >=50, and the average fiber length of the milled mineral fiber is 20-500mu, preferably 50-200mu. |
