PURPOSE:To discharge smoothly a molten metal from a tilting furnace without fall and turbulence and to prevent oxidation of the molten metal and intrusion of impurities therein by connecting an induction spout to the top end of a tapping spout projected from the front wall of the tilting furnace freely turnably around the axial center of a pivotal shaft supporting the furnace. CONSTITUTION:Brackets 3, 3 are projected from both side parts of the front wall 2 of a tilting furnace 1 and said furnace is supported freely turnably around pivotal shafts 5 by bearings 4, 4 fixed onto the floor. A tap hole 6 is opened in the central part of the front wall 2 and a tapping spout 9 opened from the front wall is projected from the hole 6 in such a way that the front end of the spout 9 intersects with the extension line 10 of the axial length of the shafts 5. An induction spout 7 is connected to the top end of the spout 9 freely turnably around the extension line 10 of the axial length of the shafts 5. If the furnace 1 is tilted in the stage of discharging the molten metal from the furnace 1, the connecting part between the spout 7 and the spout 9 is maintained in a specified position without being displaced vertically. The molten metal flows downward from the spout 9 to the spout 7. The outflow rate is controllable according to the tilting angle of the furnace 1. |
