PURPOSE:To prevent any internal short circuits which might be caused by high- speed vibration by completely covering an area of the surface of the negative active material which might be exposed to the fire path by a negative current collector which has a fire introduction hole the diameter of which is larger than that of the fire introduction hole of a positive current collector. CONSTITUTION:An area 8 of the surface of a negative active material layer 3 which might be exposed to a fire path is completely covered by a negative current collector 2. Owing to the above constitution, even when a heating agent 11 undergoing combustion enters the space formed between the negative current collector 2 and a protection ring 6, the heating agent 1 does not directly touch the negative active material layer 3 thereby preventing any possibility of causing thermal breakage.
