PURPOSE:To stabilize 2-methoxy-4H-1,3,2-benzodioxaphospholin-2-sulfide(salithione for short) useful as an insecticide for fruits and vegetables, by including salithione with cyclodextrin. CONSTITUTION:For example, 12ml of 75wt% solution of salithione in acetone is added to 2,100ml of 1.8wt% aqueous solution of beta-cyclodextrin, and the solution is stirred at room temperature for 4hr. Formed precipitate is filtered, dried, ground, to give an inclusion compound of salithione with cyclodextrin.
