Single-barrelled break-down rifle system for bullet and shot cartridges having a barrel bayonet fastening, grip-sleeve interlock and hand-cocker lock. The subject on which the invention is based is to have a rifle system which is suitable for providing additional barrels in repeating rifles and for tapered single-loading hunting rifles. The object of the invention is achieved in that a barrel equipped with three breech bosses is pushed axially into a system sleeve provided with corresponding longitudinal and round grooves and having a loading orifice and is closed by rotation, in that the system sleeve is drilled out in the rear region to receive a hand-cocker lock and is fastened to the repeating rifle (or to the wooden shaft) by means of a screwed-in system pin having a locking screw, and in that, for interlocking, a grip sleeve equipped with three pins and having an inserted spring washer is pushed over the barrel and is pressed in a retaining manner against the system sleeve by means of a stop screw and a grip spring. In a loading operation, the barrel is released by means of the grip sleeve and is pushed axially forwards, so that a cartridge can be introduced through the loading orifice of the system sleeve. This invention makes it possible to convert commercially conventional repeating rifles into superior combined hunting weapons by the mounting of an additional barrel and also to produce inexpensive single-barrelled, break-down, shafted, hunting rifles.
