摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To secure favorable combustion efficiency over the whole operation range of an internal-combustion engine, by installing a variable throttle valve alongside in a passage situated in the upstream position, among plural passage to be connected to a tank. CONSTITUTION:When an internal-combustion engine 4 is operated and a compressor 9 in a supercharger 8 is drive, the compressor 9 feeds an air-charging pipe 1 with its suction air under pressure. And, at a low engine speed operation range, a variable throttle valve 13 is throttled down to some extent by a throttle extent regulator 15. A tank 10 comes into a state of being connected to the air-charging pipe 1 through a second passage 12 alone, while the tank 10 serves as a resonance tank demonstrating its resonant effect against pressure variation in the air-charging pipe 1. Likewise, at a high engine speed operation range, the variable throttle valve 13 is made to open its throttle by the throttle extent regulator 15, and the tank 10 comes into a state of being connected to the air- charging pipe 1 through a first passage 11 and a second passage 12, whereby the tank 10 serves as a surge tank demonstrating its damping effect against pressure pulsation in the air-charging pipe 1.</p>
