PURPOSE:To improve wear-resistance of a cam piece and to reduce the weight of the cam piece by expanding a hollow shaft to connect a cam piece to the shaft, disposing two kinds of concave portions on opposite end surfaces and mounting an engagement portion on a through hole for the shaft. CONSTITUTION:Cam pieces 2 are used, for example, for a cam shaft 1 of an internal-combustion engine. The cam pieces are disposed on a hollow shaft 4 with journals 3, and when the shaft 4 is expanded to fit the cams to the shaft 4. The cam piece 2 is formed in such a manner that the outer peripheral shape is similar to that of an ordinary cam piece, a slanting conical concave portion 2a having the end surface smaller than the outer peripheral shape, which is substantially similar to the outer peripheral shape, is disposed on one surface of the cam piece and a concave portion 2c of an arbitrary shape is disposed on a cam nose portion 2b of the other surface thereof. A through hole 2d for the shaft 4 is formed in the above concave portion 2a, and the through hole 2d is provided with an engagement portion 2e engaged with the shaft 4. |
