The invention relates to a mobile edge-grinding machine for grinding parquet floors or the like, with dust extraction and a laterally projecting grinding arm. The known edge-grinding machines have the disadvantage that they can only be guided when stooping or kneeling and/or that the guidance of the appliance is inaccurate. The object of the invention is therefore an improved edge-grinding machine with which the grinding work can be carried out in a favourable body posture and with accurate guidance. This object is achieved in that a guide handle for operating in upright body posture and this guide handle is arranged at right angles to the grinding arm. An expedient embodiment of the edge-grinding machine is shown in Fig. 1. <IMAGE>
