Method and circuit arrangement for improving the reproduction quality of electro-acoustic transducers

To improve the reproduction quality of an electro-acoustic transducer, the analog audio signal which is to be converted into acoustic vibrations is converted into a sequence of primary digital signals. The primary digital signals are fed to the data inputs of a microcomputer. With the aid of a program stored in a programmable read-only memory in the microcomputer and the similarly stored parameters of the electro-acoustic transducer which define the real transducer characteristics, the primary digital signals are converted into secondary digital signals. Temporary differences occur particularly with sudden changes in the level of the audio signal. The sequence of secondary digital signals emitted by the microcomputer is converted into an analog control signal. Following amplification, the latter is used to control the electro-acoustic transducer.
