The device relates to a movement/time scale which is provided with at least one movement/time scaling which is calibrated to a specific map scale and a specific travelling speed, and which can be placed on a course line which is entered on a map of the scale in question and allows the travelling time from one location to the other location to be read off directly when the origin of the scaling which determines the actual speed is superimposed on the locations which are connected by the course line.
