发明名称 FUEL CELL
摘要 PURPOSE:To secure a fuel cell being excellent in reliability, having such a manifold that prevent corrosive deterioration from occurring with certainty, by using a copper alloy as material for the manifold of a phosphate type fuel cell. CONSTITUTION:The circumference of a an elementary cell laminated body 3 is surrounded by a manifold 4 for feeding fuel gas and oxide gas respectively. This manifold 4 has an empty space 5 inside, and piping 6 for feeding the fuel gas is connected to this empty sapce 5. As material for this manifold 4, a copper alloy composed of brass, special aluminum bronze or the like is used. These materials for this alloy are all excellent in phosphoric acid resistance, and especially at a temperature of 200 deg.C or so, that is, operation temperature for a fuel cell, it has an excellent phosphoric acid resisting characteristic as compared with stainless steel so that improvements in corrosion resistance and long service life are well promoted with these materials used for the manifold.
