The process for utilising energy produced by the phase change of a liquid includes ascending the vapour of the liquid from a low place to a high place utilising the difference of the vapour pressure of the liquid between that generated when the liquid is vaporised and that generated when the ascending vapour is liquified at the high place. The potential energy of the descending liquid is utilised by letting the liquid fall which has been liquified at the high place. The descended liquid is vaporised and mixed with the vapour.
