PURPOSE:To make operation of a watch from the beginning by connecting a large-capacity capacitor via a diode and PNP transistor to a solar battery and connecting respectively a resistor between the base and the emitter and a clock circuit to the base side. CONSTITUTION:Electric current flows to a clock circuit 6 via a diode 2 and a resistor 5 and the watch starts operating when electromotive force is generated in a solar battery 1. The voltage at both terminals of the resistor 5 exceeds the threshold voltage of a transistor (TR) 3 and charges a capacitor 4 via the TR3 when the impressed voltage of the circuit 6 exceeds 1.5V. The electric current flows via the collector and base of the TR3 from the capacitor 4 to drive the circuit 6 when it becomes dark around the watch and the battery 1 does not generate the electromotive force any longer. |
