PURPOSE:To provide a resin composition for the coating of tableware, etc., having excellent cracking resistance, by using a melamine resin modified with benzoguanamine as a base resin and using a partially saponified higher fatty acid ester wax as a mold release agent. CONSTITUTION:The objective coating resin composition is composed of a melamine-based resin, a curing agent, a mold release agent, and optionally a colorant. In the above composition, a benzoguanamine-modified melamine resin (preferably a 1:1 by weight mixture of benzoguanamine resin and melamine resin) is used as the melamine-based resin, and a partially saponified higher fatty acid ester wax is used as the mold release agent. The melamine resin is preferably synthesized from 1mol of melamine and 1.3-1.5mol of formalde hyde, and the benzoguanamine resin is preferably synthesized from 1mol of benzoguanamine and 1.3-1.6mol of formaldehyde. |
