PURPOSE:To prevent misoperations from occurring, by a method wherein a constant-rotation clutch provided in a transmitting system for connecting a printer and a paper-supplying device to each other when a power source for the printer is thrown in or at the time of selective use of the paper-supplying device is located at a home position when starting the use of the paper-supplying device. CONSTITUTION:When the power source is thrown in to a drive source (pulse motor) for rotating the platen 1 of the printer, or by operating a paper-supplying mode selecting switch provided for the printer, an electric current is fed to the pulse motor for the platen 1 for a fixed period of time, thereby rotating the platen 1 by an amount sufficient for rotating the constant-rotation clutch by one cycle. By this, the clutch located at an intermediate position is returned to the home position to prepare for a normal paper-supplying operation. The clutch (in a disengaged condition) located at the home position is maintained at that position. |
