PURPOSE:To provide a highly reliable ink ribbon cassette free of jamming or damage of an ink ribbon, wherein a reverse rotation preventing mechanism is provided between a driving roller for a loop form ink ribbon rotated by a drive source and an ink ribbon cassette casing. CONSTITUTION:The ink ribbon 2 contained in the ink ribbon cassette 1 is clamped between a driving roller 3 and a driven roller 4, and the roller 3 is rotated by a driving means to push the ribbon 2 into a containing chamber 5, thereby feeding the ribbon 2. A driving shaft 7 for driving the ink ribbon 2 is engaged to a driving roller 9 provided in the ink ribbon cassette 8, a pawl 12 for preventing reverse rotation is provided on the lower side surface 11 of the roller 9, and is engaged to a pawl provided on the side of the cassette casing 8 to constitute a reverse rotation preventing mechanism. By using this ink ribbon cassette, printing is conducted while preventing the ink ribbon 2 from being reversely rotated. |
