PURPOSE:To manufacture easily a molding die capable of molding a high precision lens array by a method wherein a plurality of metallic blocks are inserted into the rectangular opening of a die base, fixed thereto, then, the clearance between the base and the blocks are filled with adhesive agent and the agent is hardened. CONSTITUTION:A metallic base 11 with a rectangular opening 11a is provided and many metallic blocks 10 are inserted into the opening 11a and fixed thereto. Then, the clearance between the metallic base 11 and the metallic blocks 10 is filled with adhesive agent to be hardened. In this method the molding die 13 for molding the desired lens array can be obtained. Additionally, lens molding is conducted at the end 10'd of one side of the metallic block 10. The base 10'a is desired to be provided at the end of the other side of the metallic block 10 in order to fix the metallic block 10 with high precision in the opening 11a of the die base 11. |
