The treatment liquid transmitted in excess into the booms 6 by the pump 2 is brought back into the vessel 1 through return pipes 11 which permit reverse-direction flow when the valves 12 intended for closing the said booms 6 connect the supply pipes 5 to a partial-vacuum source 16. The scavenging thus carried out prevents any risk of obstruction as a consequence of settling (segregation) of the loaded treatment liquids. <IMAGE>
