The ram (13) is linked to a servo-pump circuit (15) via a control valve (16), which is itself displaced by a secondary hydraulic circuit with a separate servo-pump (22). The secondary circuit has a hydraulic bridging control to compare the actual deflection with programmed one. The ram is operated by two switch controls (24,27) incorporating flow restrictions. Bridging controls incorporate flow control valves each side of the floating control valve, to link the servo-inputs and a sump (32).
