PURPOSE:A composition showing cholesterol lowering action on hypercholesterolemia such as arteriosclerosis, hyperlipemia, diabetes, etc. or on high cholesterol-containing food in its intake, containing lecithin of egg yolk in a specific ratio. CONSTITUTION:The titled composition containing >=3.5wt% lecithin of egg yolk. Lecithin of egg yolk is phospholipid in lipid of egg yolk, soluble in methanol, benzene or chloroform, but insuluble in acetone, and it is extractable by using the property. It can be added to a protein material such as casein, soybean protein, etc., ordinary food, or drugs. The ingestion of lecithin of egg yolk shows lowering action on cholesterol in blood or suppressing action on rise in cholestrol against hypercholesterolemia or intake of high cholesterol-containing food. It also has high safety. |
