PURPOSE:To enable agigation of a developer uniformly over the entire region and sure supply of the developer by using an agitator having the special construction for agitating the developer. CONSTITUTION:An agitator 5 which agitates a developer 4 is provided. The developer 4 agitated by the agitator 5 is supplied to a photosensitive drum 2. The agitator 5 is coaxially disposed with two double-threaded spirals 37, 38 which are different from each other in the winding direction. The agitator is made into the monolithic construction in which said spirals are partitioned by a cylindrical sleeve 26 as a shielding body. A feed port for the developer is provided at the end of an agitating vane 37. The 1st discharge hole 39 is provided backward of rotation of an agitating vane 38 and the 2nd discharge hole 40 for the developer backward of rotation of the 2nd agitating vane. Members 41, 42 which block the flow of the developer in the axial direction are further provided. The developer is axially circulated and agitated by the respective agitating vanes. The vane 37 is of 8mm. inside diameter, 24-26mm. outside diameter and 20- 40mm. lead and the vane 38 is of 32-34mm. outside diameter and 250-350mm. lead. The number of revolutions thereof is respectively in a 200-300rpm range. |
