PURPOSE:To shorten the time of recording by providing a place where thermal head is separated from a drum when recording is stopped and a place where a recording paper cassette is detachable at near the drum. CONSTITUTION:When a fan-shaped gear 39 is turned in the direction of F by a drive gear 40, an arm 37 is turned by a spring 38, and a slide lever 41 is moved along a shaft 42 to open a holder 22. A thermal head 31 is moved to a position away from the drum 23, and a coupling lever 51 is released from the opening 52 of the cassette 50 against the spring 53. The cassette 50 can be freely detached. When the tip of a picture receiving paper 20 is positioned at the notch 45 of the drum 31, a drive gear 40 is reversely turned, the holder 22 is closed, the thermal head 31 is moved to a position close to the drum 23, and the coupling lever 51 is coupled to the opening 52. The gear 40 is continuously turned reversely, and the thermal head 31 is pressingly contacted with the drum 23. The moving distance of the head can thus be shortened. |
