PURPOSE:To improve separation-resistance between a diamond sintered body and a base by fixing and connecting a diamond sintered body and a base formed of a hard sintered alloy through a specified intermediate layer. CONSTITUTION:In a composite diamond sintered body applied to a tool part of a cutting tool or the like, a sintered body containing diamond is fixed and connected to a base formed of a hard sintered alloy through an intermediate layer 0.01-1.0mm. thick which is composed of cubic system boron nitride and silicon carbide or composed of cubic system boron nitride, silicon carbide and diamond. In case of manufacturing the composite diamond sintered body, first thin sheet type silicon is disposed on the surface of a base formed of hard sintered alloy, and an intermediate layer forming component composed of boron nitride or boron nitride and diamond is disposed on the surface of the silicon surface. Subsequently, after a sintered body forming component containing diamond is diskposed, they are formed into a composite sintered body at a temperature above 1,200 deg.C and under pressure of above 40Kb. |
