The labels are of the self-adhesive type, and are individually arranged for sepn. from the support strip over a dispensing edge at the feed-out point. From this location, the labels are transferred to the object to be marked, and applied to it. A plate-form component, electrically insulated to adjacent parts, is charged with high direct current potential, and is positioned so that as labels are fed outwards over it an electrostatic force effect is produced in the form of attraction between it and them. - This force effect ensures that the labels are aligned and fixed to the object to be marked in the correct position. An earth plane component is located movably near the underside of the fed-out labels, and serves to concentrate the electrostatic force field on them. |
