PURPOSE:To prevent a temporary decrease of engine speed and a stop of an engine after its gentle deceleration, by deciding an idle operation condition so as to feedback control an idle speed on the basis of detection signals of a throttle valve opening and an engine speed. CONSTITUTION:An idle speed control device of an engine provides a deceleration detecting means E, deceleration speed detecting means F and a feedback control stop means G in addition to an engine speed detecting means A detecting a speed of the engine 1, throttle valve opening detecting means B detecting the opening of a throttle valve 9 provided in an intake passage 4, intake air amount adjusting means C and a control means D feedback controlling the intake air amount adjusting means C when the engine is in idle operation. The deceleration detecting means E detects engine speed decreasing from the region of high speed to the region below a predetermined low speed. The deceleration speed detecting means F detects a deceleration speed of the engine, and a control signal output from the control means D is stopped by the feedback control stop means G when said deceleration speed is in a gentle manner. |
