PURPOSE:To make it possible to uniformly wash a vehicle body, by controlling moving motors in such a way that the contact pressure between cleaning brushes and the vehicle body to be washed may be maintained constant. CONSTITUTION:Electrical powers to motors 6, 8a, 8b detected by sensors 19a through 19b are compared with previously set reference values (for example, a power upon no load operation). When the detected power which is equal to the reference value, the operations of the motors are continued as they are, but when it is not equal to the reference value, such a control is made that the outputs of the motors are increased or decreased by means of a travelling motor controller 22, an elevating motor controller 23 and an opening and closing motor controller 24. With this arrangement the contact pressure between cleaning brushes and the vehicle body may be maintained constant irrespective of unevenness in the vehicle body, thereby the vehicle body may be uniformly washed. |
