PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a local oscillator by applying a transmission FM wave to a nonlinear circuit together with a reception FM wave and applying frequency modulation in a transceiver transmitting an FM wave of carrier frequency f2 and receiving an FM wave of carrier frequency f1. CONSTITUTION:The FM signal of the carrier frequency f1 and the FM signal of the carrier frequency f2 are amplified by an amplifier 19 through a band pass filter 18. Moreover, they are fed via a band pass filter 20 to the nonlinear amplifier 21, where they are amplified. The signal A=E1sin(2pif1t+mf1sinP1t) and the signal B=E2sin(2pif2t+mf2sinP2t) fed to the amplifier 21 are superimposed and an output of a band paws filter 22 is E1, E2cos[(omega1-omega2)t+mf1sinP1t- mf2sinP2t] through its square characteristic. The output is fed to an amplifier 23, where it is amplified and limited for the amplitude, and fed to an FM demodulator 16, where the result is FM-demodulated and the sum of modulation component is obtained. When the transmission is intermitted, the carrier frequency f2 acts like a local oscillation signal, which attains reception and reproduction. |
