PURPOSE:To attain contactless coupling by using light by using a concentric coaxial optical waveguide which has N concentrically independent layers of light guides and connects a rotary motion body and a stationary body. CONSTITUTION:Layers of light guides L1...LN are peeled off at both sides (A and B) stepwise successively from the outside. Oblique mirrors M1...MN and K1...KN are positioned so as to face the peeled end surfaces of the light guides at the rotary motion body A and stationary body B to enter and project the light beams of the light guides L1...LN. Light emitting and photodetecting bodies R1...RN on the side of the rotary motion body A are provided beside the oblique mirrors M1...MN, and light emitting and photodetecting bodies P1...PN on the side of the stationary body B are provided beside the oblique mirrors K1...KN to transmit signals between both light emitting and photodetecting bodies.
