PURPOSE:To prevent deformation of a bearing metal and thus prevent the oil film from becoming too thin, by stopping an oil pump after a certain time from detecting that the rotating machine reaches a maximum speed. CONSTITUTION:A motor 19 is directly coupled to an oil pump 14 and a switch is provided for switching the power source of the motor 19 on or off. A timer 21 is actuated by the action of contacts built in a rotational speed detector 22 provided for the rotating machine and is actuated at the maximum rotational speed of the machine. The switch 20 is switched off T5 minutes after the actuation of the timer 21 by the timer 21 set to T5 minutes and the motor 19 and the oil pump 14 are stopped. By this sequence the defomation of the bearing metal has been reduced when the oil pump 14 is stopped and the fluid lubricating film on the bearing metal itself forms a sufficient oil film for the sliding surface. |
