PURPOSE:To reduce the number of parts and to release the pressure resisting condition of a manhole by providing the manhole on the back side of an elbow which serves as one wall forming a pressure balance chamber at a position facing the end plate forming the same pressure balance chamber from the inner side thereof. CONSTITUTION:A crossover pipe 12 is provided for communicating a medium pressure wheel chamber with a low pressure wheel chamber, and comprises an elbow 3, a pressure balance chamber 7, a wrapper 8 and the like. On the inner surface of bellows 2 in the pressure balance chamber 7 is provided a bellows protecting inner cylinder 14. A manhole 20 is not provided at the position of the end plate 6 of the pressure balance chamber 7 unlike in the conventional crossover pipe but is provided on the back side of the elbow 3 which is a non-pressure-resisting part. That is, the back side of the elbow 3 is bored, and a manhole cover 21 having at its central part a balance hole 4n are secured to a plurality of stoppers 22 by means of bolts 23 thereby to install the manhole 20. |
