PURPOSE:To realize a cooling construction for a lubricated type bearing housing having a high cooling effect with a simple construction to allow easy assembly and maintenance, by inserting cooling medium supply pipes to the storage baths in the bearing housing. CONSTITUTION:At portions on the side wall of a bottom half member 12a of an oil lubricated type bearing housing 12 and facing to each deep bottom of oil baths 14, longitudinally long oval openings 17, 17 are formed and the openings 17, 17 are tightly sealed with oval cover members 19, 19 to which cooling water pipes 18 are installed. The cooling water pipe 18 is bent to U-shape and its cooling water inlet end 14a and outlet end 14b pass through the cover member 19 and project out to the outside of the cover member 19, and the through portions of the pipe 18 in the cover member 19 are sealed watertight. At a condition in which the U-shape bent side of the cooling water supply pipe 18 is inserted from the opening 17 of the bottom half member 2a into the deep bottom portion of the oil bath 14, the cover member 19 is tightly fastened to the bottom half member 12a with bolts 20. |
