PURPOSE:To correct deformation caused in fixation, and discharge paper stably and also prevent a defect in transfer, etc., even in the both-surface copying operation by curving a sheet after transfer in the opposite direction of natural curvature in the fixation. CONSTITUTION:The paper 20 after transfer is fixed between fixing rollers 15, separated from an upper roller 16 with a separation pawl 24, and inserted between paper discharge rollers 18. The peripheral speed of the rollers 18 is faster than that of the fixing roller 15, so the sheet 20 is tensed and pressed against the circumference of the peak 22a of a guide plate 20. Consequently, the sheet 20 is brought into strong sliding contact with a plate 22 which is curved in the opposite direction of natural curvature along the roller 16 during the fixation to correct the natural curvature, so that the sheet is discharged into a paper discharge tray 21. Therefore, the sheet 20 is neither folded during paper discharge nor fallen out of the paper discharge tray 21, and discharged stably. |
