PURPOSE:To simply and exactly cover a deformed tube with a heat-shrinkable tape without causing the deviation of widthwise direction of the tape by a method in which a heat-shrinkable tape whose back side is laminated with a hot-bond type elastomer adhesive is wound around the deformed tube while being heated and tensed. CONSTITUTION:A tape 1 formed by laminating a heat-shrinkable bridged plastic tape 11 with a hot-bond type elastomer adhesive 12 having a shear strength of 0.005-0.05kg/cm<2> at the maximum heat shrinkage temperature of the tape 11 is wound around a deformed tube 2 and closely bonded while being heated and heat-shrunk by a burner 3. Since an elastomer adhesive composed primarily of butyl rubber, EPDM, etc., is laminated with the tape 11, the deviation in the widthwise direction of the tape 1 when being heat-shrunk can be prevented because of good adhesion even when being heated. |
