PURPOSE:To enable a thinner shape of a carriage by arranging a lever between ribbon supports to move in the direction of feeding the carriage and select the ribbon which should be lifted while lifting ribbons. CONSTITUTION:A lever body 106 is allowed to oscillate on a shaft 107a and with a pin 106c forced into the bottom thereof 106, it engages the section of a printing ribbon support 108 in the printing mode while does the section 109a of a correcting ribbon support 109 in the correction mode. As the pin 106c hits the section 108a of the support 108, it 108 is turned counterclockwise to lift a cartridge 118 to the printing position. The support 108 is laid on the support 109 and works in cooperation therewith 109 while a regulation body 127 moves following the support 109. In this manner, the support 108 is released from the regulation at the printing position and the correcting ribbon is raised to the printing position. |
