PURPOSE:To enable discharge of only completely-burnt ash even if an object to be incinerated enters a discharge port as it remains to be in an incomplete combustion condition, by a method wherein an ash discharging port forms an ash reservoir, and ash, entering the discharge port, is reserved therein temporarily. CONSTITUTION:The upper open end of an ash reservoir 12 is open approximately in the same level as that of the upper surface of a sand layer S to form a discharge port 5, and an openable cover 13 is attached to the bottom. The openable cover 13 is normally closed, and when ash is stored in the ash reservoir 12, the openable cover is opened to discharge the ash, and thereafter, the cover is closed immediately. One example is described by way of example in which the cover is pivotally attached to a pin 14 and operation of the cover is effected by means of an air cylinder 15. |
