PURPOSE:To make the attachment and detachment of a drive mechanism easier by a method in which an upper slewing body is pivotally attached in a vertically rocking manner to the front and rear ends of the box of axle frame, and a working machine and a drive machanism for slewing are housed in the axle frame in the lower traveler. CONSTITUTION:A traveling engine 10 to drive a crawler 4', a pump, and a traveling motor are provided to the lower traveler 1 of an extra-large size hydraulic type excavator. In the box-like axle frame 4 of the lower traveler 1, the front and rear P' and P of the axle frame 4 is pivotally attached with the upside plate 30 in a detachable and rocking manner. An upper rotator 19 is rotatably provided to the upside of the upside plate 30, and a working machine, an operator's cabin 27, and a counter weight 28 are provided to the upside of the upper slewing body 19. A power supply mechanism A for working machine and slewing is provided in the axle frame 4. The attachment and detachment of the power supply mechanism in the lower traveler can thus be made easier. |
