PURPOSE:To enable high-speed fixing at a low temp. by using a solid bisphenol type polyester resin modified by a resin contg. maleic anhydride as a copolymer component and PP or waxy compd. having 10,000mol.wt. or lower as a binder resin and dispersing a magnetic material therein. CONSTITUTION:A bisphenol type polyester resin is modified by a resin contg. maleic anhydride as a copolymer component. Such resin is most adequately a copolymer consisting of maleic anhydride and acrylate or methacrylate and styrene. The toner having good fixability and offset resistance is obtd. by the synergistic effect of the bisphenol type polyester resin modified by such resin and PP or waxy compd. of low mol.wt. The resin contg. maleic anhydride as a copolymer component is required to have >=50 deg.C, more preferably >=60 deg.C glass transition temp. The PP or waxy compd. having a low mol.wt. of 10,000 or lower is used for the PP or waxy compd. to be added as the releasing agent. |
