PURPOSE:To obtain a coated film having improved durability by kneading organosilica gel, magnetic powder and resin to form a magnetic powder paint, coating the magnetic powder paint on a base and baking and curing the above- described base on which said magnetic powder paint is coated. CONSTITUTION:The compsn. of a magnetic recording medium of this invention consists of 35%, by weight, organosilica gel having about 10-20mmu primary particle size together with magnetic powder into a thermosetting resin. The compsn. consisting of, for example, 40pts. gamma-Fe2O3, 28pts. epoxy resin, 12pts. phenolic resin, 20pts. organosilica gel, 100pts. IPA and 100pts. toluene is mixed and dispersed for 24hr in a ball mill. While the base of a magnetic disc is rotated, the magnetic paint prepd. by mixing and dispersing said compsn. is spin-coated on the base and is baked and cured for 1hr at 200 deg.C. The surface of the magnetic disc is polished and is treated with a lubricating agent, by which the magnetic disc is completed. |
