PURPOSE:To produce a dermatic drug for external use containing the extract of aloe, rapidly in a short time, by crushing and pressing the whole raw leaf of a plant belonging to Aloe genus, Liliaceae family, fermenting the obtained fresh juice and/or the pressed cake with sugar and yeast, and filtering the fermentation liquid. CONSTITUTION:The while raw leaf of a plant belonging to Aloe genus, Liliaceae family, e.g. Aloe arborescens, Cape aloe, Aloe vera, etc. is crushed and pressed. The obtained fresh juice and/or pressed cake are added with (i) a saccharide e.g. monosaccharide such as glucose, disaccharide such as sucrose, or polysaccharide (the amount of the saccharide is preferably 10-15% in terms of alcohol conversion) and (ii) yeast such as brewers' yeast, baker's yeast, etc., and fermented preferably at 25-35 deg.C for 2-4hr. The objective aloe extract liquid useful as an external dermatic drug can be produced economically by filtering the obtained fermentation liquid. Since the extract liquid obtained by the above method contains fermentation metabolites which cannot be attained by conventional extraction process, and is free from characteristic odor, it is useful as an additive for cosmetic, etc. |
