PURPOSE:To miniaturize and simplify the supporting structure of a dry-type cooling unit and reduce the height of the water cooling tower by a method wherein the dry-type cooling unit of heavy weight, consisting of the group of heat transfer tubes, is permitted to be installed at the base side of the tower in the dry and wet type water cooling tower. CONSTITUTION:Wet-type cooling units 2A, 2B are provided so as to form the side wall sections of the cooling tower 1 and oppose to each other with a predetermined interval. The wet-type cooling units 2A, 2B are filled with woods or the like to form layers of fillers through which hot-water is flowed down. Provided between both wet-type cooling units 2A, 2B is the dry-type cooling unit 3 and first damper D1 for regulating the flow amount of gas flowing through the dry-type cooling unit 3 is provided at the side surface thereof. Provided between the wet-type cooling unit 2A and the dry-dype cooling unit 3 is the second damper D2 for regulating the flow amount of gas, which is provided so as to partition the upper part of these cooling unit 2A, 3. Further, the wet-type cooling units 2A, 2B are provided with the dampers D3, D4 respectively at the side surfaces inside of the tower. |
