1,262,990. Fixing disperse dyes on materials containing cellulose triacetate. FARBWERKE HOECHST AG. 19 Nov., 1969 [22 Nov., 1968], No. 56658/69. Heading D1B. The invention comprises a process for the continuous fixation of disperse dyes on fibrous materials consisting of or containing cellulose triacetate wherein the fibrous material which has been printed or padded with a disperse dye in presence of a fixing agent and if desired dried is treated for up to 200 seconds in a continuous steamer or on a stenter with superheated steam having a temperature above 130‹C. The cellulose triacetate may be in admixture with wool, natural or regenerated cellulose, polyamide, polyacrylonitrile and polyesters and the dyestuffs may be of the azo, anthraquinone or quinophthalone series. The usual fixing agents may be used and may be applied before, with or after the dyestuff. The examples describe padding and printing of cellulose triacetate. |
