<p>PURPOSE:To keep a cell from mechanical stress caused by the foaming and agitation by aeration bubbling, by supplying O2 and pH-controlling gas to the perfusate in a gas-exchange column taking advantage of the gas-permeability of a hollow fiber. CONSTITUTION:The perfusion liquid in the gas-permeable hollow fiber 2 in the gas-exchange column 1 is circulated with a pump through the circulation circuit 7. The circulation circuit 7 is furnished with a by-pass 8, which is provided with a culture column 9. The introduction of O2 from the O2 line 5 and CO2 from the CO2 line 6 and the gas-exchange necessary for the perfusion culture are carried out under the action of the gas-permeability of the gas- permeable hollow fiber 2.</p> |
