Trap for mice, rats and other vermin, comprised of a spring mounted, thin, rectangular plate (1), fitted with a trap device set up so that, after the plate (1) springy bends toward the main circular arc shape, it can be brought to hold the plate still (1) in this position but releasing it upon effect, so that the plate (1) stretches out, of which the trap device is comprised of a U-shaped loop (2), whose legs (3) mainly lie along the lengthwise edges (5) of the plate (1) and with its free ends is flexibly connected with the plate's (1) lengthwise edges (5) along one edge and whose cross piece (6) is designed so that, when in the plate's (1) other end a bait holder is mounted (10, 11) furnished with bait, taken hold of with the bait holder (10, 11) bound and then the catch and release device manoeuvred (19), so that, when the bait is removed from the bait holder (10, 11) or it is worked at with repeated bending, the crosspiece (6) of the loop (2) is released, so that the plate (1) is extended outward and throws the loop (2) upward, so that one of its legs (3) breaks the releasing animal's neck against the corresponding lengthwise edge (5) of the plate (1).<IMAGE> |
